Workout :: BUM ANKLE

Well I was offered a cast or no cast at the ortho clinic today. Opted for no cast and headed to the gym to try and do some workout (all sitting) and also a bit of pool work. It was great being able to get my but out and do some activity. I did wide grip chins, hanging leg raises, shoulder press, seated lateral raises, cable pressdown (rope), preacher curls, seated dumbell curls, incline press, toe catches, pushups, elbow to knee crunches. After hit the pool and did some lenghts driving with the good leg and managed to do some walking in the deep end as most of the weight is suppored by water. In the shallow end a bit more difficult.

Can’t run but can climb stairs and swim

Well my legs felt awesome the other morning when I woke up. It has been so long since they felt that great I had forgotten what that feels like. This morning there was a bit of an ache but that was from an awesome massage. I finaly got myself to the gym and started with my workout. Did chest, back, shoulders and abs. Had a great session. After that I hit the stair machine for 20 minutes and actually worked up a pretty good sweat!I figured I needed more work in the pool. This is actually becomming a bit fun as it’s a real challenge and anyone who knows me knows I love a challenge. I didn’t really enjoy this the first time but today it was a little more plesant and I put a bit more energy into it. I swam for 10 minutes doing 5 lengths front crawl followed by 2 lengths breast stroke. I’ll try and just add more minutes every day and see how this goes. Anyhow did a ten minute session and that was it for the day. Back at it tomorrow.
