Running Log :: More frequent

Well these running logs are apearing with greater frequency which is a good thing. Today did a 25 min run for 2.5 miles. Kept it at the 10 min mile pace and will leave it at that till my mileage is up. I can still feel some discomfort in the arch after the runs but it’s minimal so I think recovery is progressing well. Just have to keep taking it easy. Did some elliptical aftre for 15 min to make total workout 40 minutes (was on my lunch break), and approx 700 calories.  Finished it all off with a bit of ab work, do I ever need some ab work to get back to where I was this time last year. We’ll get there…

Running Log :: Wow running again hahahahahah

Yes blog readers, Serge ran again!!! Ok so it was 20 min but I wrapped it up with 40 minute elliptical session burning off more than 1000 calories (the slouvaki and greek salad for lunch had to be worked off). Anyhow leg felt really good, was going to put it for 25 min but I figured why be stupid, take my time, no races coming up. Anyhow we’ll have to try at lunch again tomorrow, the lunch session isn’t that bad. Well it isn’t that bad except for the hole of a gym near work, nowhere near as nice as the one near the house.

Running LOG :: Yes you read it right

Yes you read it right :: RUNNING LOG… I went for another run and did 20 min today on treadmill, as well as 20 min elliptical on my lunch hour. If work is reading this, yes that’s 40 min so I didn’t take more than my lunch hour. Anyhow run felt great, there was a little pressure on the inside of the shin but very minimal and I never pushed it to a point where there was pain. That amount of time seemed perfect so we’ll keep it at 20 min for the remainder of the week.

CAN’T RUN BUT I CAN SKYDIVE

Well I can’t run and I need the rush so Sergie went skydivin’. Oh what a rush. Did I mention I’m going back tomorrow. What an amazing day. I’ve more pics to upload shortly of the girls. they were there also.

YEAH BABY :: RUN AND ELLIPTICAL

Well I ran tonight, felt awesome!!! Did 10 min. It’s a start. Keep the pace to a moderate 10:55 min mile and just enjoyed the felling of running. It feels like forever since I’ve had a painless run. This was incredible. I followed that up with a 30 minute elliptical for about 700 calories total. What a workout, I feel awesome. Have to get some sleep though, in Toronto tomorrow.

Elliptical again :: and again!!!

Well another hour tonight, the leg is starting to feel really good. Burned off more than 1000 calories again. This was especially rewarding as it was third day in a row and second day at an hour. My leg felt great. I think I’ll be able to start running as soon as end of next week. Tomorrow is going to be a layoff day for the cardio, we’ll do a workout instead. Anyhow I’m in very good spirits as I can feel myself healing. Just really anxious to see what running brings with it.

ONE HOUR ELLIPTICAL :: YEAH

heineken.jpgWell one hour elliptical session tonight and had much energy to go. I could feel the tendon start to act up so figured better not push my luck. Time to go ice it. I figure when I get the elliptical up to about an hour and a half I’ll take a look at starting to run slowly again. Maybe 5-10 minutes on treadmill prior to elliptical. I have no race goals at the moment, just recovery. Figure by the time I get to 1.5 hrs on elliptical my weight should be between 180 and 185 which is a better running weight. I could be loosing this extra weight much faster but the weekends are killing me, hanging around with my friend Pascal and our Heineken get togethers. I’m sure the snackmix chips and the BBQ don’t help either. Down 10lbs anyhow so can’t complain what so ever as I’m also having fun. Didn’t get a workout in after, was more in the mood to just get home, ice the leg and relax so that is what I’m going to go do now.

Cardio :: Elliptical Day 2

Well figured what the hell lets give it two days in a row hard core. Did another 40 minutes hard core today at level 5 for 700 calories. Was just wiped beyond wiped because prior to that I did a hard workout for Back, Chest,  Shoulders and Abs. I had to get a banana-a-whey protein shake after because I just had nothing left and I had to go do groceries. We’ll see how wiped out I am tonight. Advantage of this is it’s forcing me to shut down and sleep at night.

Cardio :: Elliptical Hard Core

Well went hard on the elliptical today, 40 minutes at level 5 for 700 calories. Felt the burn at 20 min but kept it going. Also did a slight lean to the left to try and work that side a little harder to try and even out the imbalance. That worked out well but I could only do 1-2 minutes at a time of that. Pretty burned out after and actually fell asleep for a spell after.
